14:01:29 – Herbert Zahner takes the record!

After a long night, the Tortouristi reaches his destination at the western end of Switzerland. Herbert completes the 504-kilometre course in 14 hours, one minute and 29 seconds. He overcomes Simon Ruff’s existing record by almost 2 hours (!). To reach this goal, the Tortouristi covered an average speed of 36 kilometers per hour. This record ride was monitored by an official of the WUCA (World Ultracycling Association) and is now officially the fastest time by bike from east to west, across Switzerland.
