In memory of Roger

Dear Cycling Community

Early Sunday morning in Hütten – grey, cool and wet. Not how we imagined it. Nevertheless, nobody complained about the bad weather. Rather, gratitude has spread. Gratitude that we were given the opportunity to say goodbye to Roger with honour, and this in the exercise of his and our passion.

On behalf of the Philipps Bike Team and the TORTOUR, we would like to thank you for your presence at the Memorial Ride and your condolences. It was very kind that you accompanied Roger – metaphorically speaking – on the last stage of the TORTOUR. This was an important sign towards the family, the team and the TORTOUR organisation, which gives strength and energy to deal with the painful loss.

A big thanks also goes to the many volunteers who made yesterday’s Memorial Ride possible.

And always remember Roger’s words: “Never lose your love for cycling.“

Stay save and ride on!

Greetings
Your TORTOUR Team and Philipps Bike Team
